Re: For fans agreements

Hello to everyone, how are you?.
I am a new girl in Evgeny's forum (I have registered few minutes ago). I am from Spain and, of course, I love Evgeny, like figure skating, like sportman but first of all, at his human dimenssion.

About gifts, I have sent to Evgeny a translated to Russian copy of book "Don Quijote" because I feel that Evgeny seems in any way to this character. I hope it will arrive to Tel Aviv on time.

Now I was thinking that Evgeny is like firebird Fenix too, who always reborn from own ashes (you know, the greek legend). I could like to suggest to artist-girls to paint drawings of our Plushi like firebird Fenix. I think is a nice gift that enclose a powerfull message for Zhenya. I would like to paint by myself but I don't have talent to do it.
What do you think aout this?

Re: Пресса о Жене, интервью Жени || Press about Evgeni ON Ic

Hi everyone!!

I would like to share my opinion about: "Kovtun - 19th. Save us, Plushenko! Two Olympic champions - Yagudin and Plushenko about failure of our young athletes in London".

I think opinions from Yagudin came from a sceptical position and also external that is useful to take into consideration, of course. But I am disagree with him and many others who talking about big changes in figure skating. I am not an expert but I think that they (Yagudin and of all, Evgeny) were who impelled real changes in figure skating under Alexey Mishin coaching.

Today everybody is talking about skaters that including 2 or 3 quads in his FP as deserving medals. Many of them (includes the ignorant commentator at Spanish TV) were so critical with Evgeny when He said that an Olympic figure skater champion without quads no were a real Oly champion (Vancouver 2010). And many of those skaters,-OK, includes quads- but the majority fall. About artistic merits… I am sorry but no one skater (single men) could move me feelings at lasted Worlds. There was any good program but not really with important contribution or remarkable artistic aspect (I would like to know if jurors are ex-skaters only because an expert jury for artistic aspects should have professionals from disciplines like music, dance, choreographers, actors, etc).

Obviously, if Chan won at these Worlds is no caused for changes at figure skating or because was the best or a revolutionary skater.

Yagudin is a great, great skater but he takes many years off competition making excellent exhibitions but his level of demand cannot be compared with Evgeny one.
Evgeny is competitive today (I hope for his fully recovery) not for his past, because his skating is evolving every day with him in all aspects.

About Maxim Kovtun, I hope will be forget this hard trance. He is not prepared no skate neither competitive aspects for present responsibility. Both unfair and hard situation for him!.

And Plushy: "I have plan. The first plan - to get well, and so far I have no deviation from my plan"
What to say!. Here is our best Evgeny. Brilliant, clever, skillful with words as with his skates, intelligent, prudent, coherent, in strength mood and also so patient (what we always asked Him for). He is realistic but full of illusion. I feel him really good!.

I hope that pain never happens again. I am sure that pure air and food helps him.
What will happen?, will see, but He is above childish disputes and results actually.
Only I wish him to recover fully and to enjoy in everything that he will do.

FROM RUSSIA TO SPAIN

Intermezzo from spanish Opera GOYESCAS:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r15UJA2Ee9M (orchestral version)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDf3Vr9np-Y (cello/piano version)

Now, something about GOYESCAS:

Opera: one act and three scenes.
Libretto (texts): Fernando Periquet.
Music: Enrique Granados.
Premiered in Metropolitan Opera Hose of New York, 28-January-1916.

Inspired and includes melodies from initial Piano Suite Goyescas from 1911, by Granados.
Opera and suite both inspired on tapestries that were done on Goya cartoons.
( Goya’s cartoons: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Francisco_Goya's_tapestry_cartoons )

The Intermezzo of opera has became in an separated music concert piece so popular that it is played at many instrumental versions.

CHARACTERS:
Rosario: Lady in high social ranking, Fernando’s lover.
Pepa: Tonadilla singer, Paquiro’s lover. (Tonadilla is a popular spanish song).
Paquiro: famous torero, Pepa’s lover.
Fernando: Captain in Royal Guard, Rosario’s lover.

SYNOPSIS:
FIRST SCENE
The opera opens with a crowd of majas and majos enjoying a holiday on the outskirts of Madrid. Some of the majas are engaged in the popular pastime of tossing the pelele (a man of straw) in a blanket. Paquiro the toreador is paying compliments to the women. Pepa, his sweetheart of the day, arrives in her dogcart. Popular, she is warmly welcomed. Soon Rosario, a lady of rank, arrives in her sedan-chair to keep a tryst with her lover, Fernando, a captain in the Royal Spanish Guards. Paquiro reminds her a baile de candil (a ball given in a room lit by candlelight) which she once attended. He invites to go again. Fernando overhears his remarks. His jealousy is aroused. He informs Paquiro that Rosario shall go to the ball, but that he, Fernando, will accompany her. He extracts Rosario’s promise to go with him, while Pepa, enraged by Paquiro’s neglect, vows vengeance upon her.
SECOND SCENE
It shows the scene at the ball. Fernando appears with Rosario. His haughty bearing and disdainful speech anger all present. The two men arrange for a duel that evening, and when Rosario recovers from a swoon, Fernando takes her away.
THIRD SCENE
It reveals Rosario’s garden. Fernando visits her before keeping his appointment with Paquiro. When a bell strikes the fatal hour, Fernando tears himself away. He is followed hesitatingly by Rosario. Soon the silence is broken by a cry from Fernando, followed by a shriek from Rosario. The lovers reappear. Rosario supports Fernando to a stone bench where he dies in her arms.

ABOUT COSTUMES:
As you see again, in Spanish music, toreros, popular music, love and jelousness.
But this is a so romantic, stylized and idealized vision of this universe.
So, I would not use a torero inspired suit. I think is better to use a suit in stylized form of “goyesco style” or even something like an abstract idea, like a dream of Goya’s universe.

ANOTHER RUSSIAN COMPOSER:

Sergey Rachmaninov : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KL5aiUKPt3Q

I think that variations form give much game (you see "Ochi Chernye variations" for Lizoschka's FP this season. Wonderful!).
Again, many tempi, atmosphere... but all around a unique theme. This is good for a copy-paste in organic and coherent way.
Moreover, at this work by Rachmaninov, the variations and musical phrases are quite short; easy to play!!.

LET’S FOCUS!.

If ballet music is good for dance (obviously), must be good for skate. As you looks not be close of Tchaikowsky’s music ballet mood (a pity because I am sure that a lot of Plushy-fans would want to see you skate with Tchaikowsky’s works; but you always skate with music that you real feels like yours and this is so intelligent and artistic desire), I like to notice you about Prokofiev’s music:

ROMEO & JULIETA ballet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dasIWoazkXA

Strong, powerful and big music but also slight and delicate, like our Evgeny and his skating.

A lot of music to listen!!.

AND MORE...

Wiht RAVEL and PIANO again:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yCuaAOXsp4
Ravel music is colourful. The second movement is also magical (listen the participation of english horn since 14'38 to 16'30 min. This music is not from this planet!) The main inconvenence for our proposal is that musical phrases are so long.

But Ravel has another incidental works at suite form, with little parts like "Ma mère l'Oye" ("My Mother the Goose"). Each piece evoke a different story/tale.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3rir1bWTyI

I see, to search music to skate is for going crazy!!. Two and four minutes only to include diferents characters, tempi... so difficult!!.

I'll be back with more ideas; now I am tired to think.

Re: Ваши идеи для Жени(ВИДЕООБРАЩЕНИЕ ЕП)||Your ideas for Ev

Now a break with French Music

MAURICE RAVEL (1875-1937)
La Alborada del Gracioso
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hTOrXJgbZY

This piece was originally composed as the fourth of the five numbers in the piano suite Miroirs, which Ravel completed in 1905 and his friend Ricardo Viñes introduced at the Salle Erard on January 6, 1906. The orchestral version of the Alborada, which Ravel created in 1918, was introduced in Paris on May 17 of the following year by the Pasdeloup Orchestra under Rhené-Baton. The National Symphony Orchestra first performed this work on October 30, 1956, under Howard Mitchell.
The title Alborada del gracioso is usually translated as "Morning Song of a Jester," the gracioso having been the household jester in the classic Spanish comedies of Calderón and Lope de Vega. The piece has remained enormously popular on its own, in both the original keyboard version and the subsequent one for orchestra. Ravel's pupil, confidant and biographer Alexis Roland-Manuel characterized the piece as one "in which the dry and biting virtuosity is contrasted, Spanish-wise, with the swooning flow of the lovelorn melodic line which interrupts the angry buzzing of guitars."

In the piano suite, each of the five movements bears a dedication to one of Ravel's friends and/or colleagues. The Alborada was dedicated to M.D. Calvocoressi, the critic and musical scholar who was among Ravel's earliest supporters, encouraged his very productive interest in the music of Mussorgsky, and supplied him with the texts for the Cinq Mélodies populaires grecques.

Re: Ваши идеи для Жени(ВИДЕООБРАЩЕНИЕ ЕП)||Your ideas for Ev

JOAQUÍN TURINA

Joaquín Turina (9 December 1882 – 14 January 1949) was a Spanish composer of classical music.
Turina was born in Seville but his origins were in northern Italy (between Verona, Brescia and Mantova). He studied in Seville as well as in Madrid. He lived in Paris from 1905 to 1914 where he took composition lessons from Vincent d'Indy at his Schola Cantorum de Paris, and studied the piano under Moritz Moszkowski. Like his countryman and friend, Manuel de Falla, while there he got to know the impressionist composers Maurice Ravel and Claude Debussy.
In 1908 he married Obdulia Garzón, who was to bear him five children. She was the dedicatee of the Danzas Fantásticas , which he completed in 1919.
Along with de Falla, he returned to Madrid in 1914, working as a composer, teacher and critic. In 1931 he was made professor of composition at the Madrid Royal Conservatory . He died in Madrid. Among his notable pupils were Vicente Asencio and Celedonio Romero.
His works include the operas Margot (1914) and Jardín de Oriente (1923), the Danzas Fantástica s (1919, versions for piano and orchestra), La Oración del Torero (written first for a lute quartet, then string quartet, then string orchestra), chamber music, piano works, guitar pieces and songs. Much of his work shows the influence of traditional Andalusian music. He also wrote a short one-movement Rapsodia Sinfonica (1931) for piano and orchestra. His music often conveys a feeling of rapture or exaltation.

Re: Ваши идеи для Жени(ВИДЕООБРАЩЕНИЕ ЕП)||Your ideas for Ev

Now, if you want to accompanying me to England, I’ll show you some music from there:

Benjamin Britten, (1913-1976)
In the summer of 1930, a precocious British teenager was asked by a fellow party guest what he planned to do with his life. ``I'm going to be a composer,'' answered Benjamin Britten. ``Yes,'' came the response, ``but what else?''
This attitude, though perhaps insensitive, was not entirely unreasonable. The great American composer Charles Ives supported himself by selling insurance. Borodin was a chemist, Tchaikovsky a bureaucrat, Bach a church organist, and Bernstein and Mahler made ends meet by conducting the New York Philharmonic. But Britten, like many before him, was determined to find success on his own terms. In 1935 he landed a position scoring films for a small documentary company, the GPO Film Unit. He was successful at this assignment, producing music for such odd titles as Conquering Space and Banking for the Millions. It was an important time in his life; the pressures of the job forced him to rapidly improve his compositional skills, and at the same time he met the poet W.H. Auden, who would become a lifetime collaborator and companion.

BRITTEN: The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra (1946)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vbvhU22uAM&list=PLEKS0HFh3cqy_S_0YajGfSSIXGQva2AEE&index=10
Is a musical composition by Benjamin Britten with a subtitle "Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Purcell". It was originally commissioned for an educational documentary film called The Instruments of the Orchestra. The work is one of the best-known pieces by the composer, and is one of the three popularly used scores in children's music education, together with Saint-Saëns' The Carnival of the Animals and Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf.
Each variation -with some different and evocative characters- is evolved in different of the sections in the orchestra. This propitiates such different sonorous colors and textures.

BRITTEN: Simple Symphony, for string orchestra (1934)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RH0OjuiEvwk&list=PLEKS0HFh3cqxJtohSOKfx2vR8xLkfYNzZ&index=1
This youthful work is formed by four movements:
I. Boisterous Bourrée
II. Playful Pizzicato
III. Sentimental Saraband ( you see, very nice!!)
IV. Frolicsome Finale

Canadian Carnival Overture , Op. 19 (1939) ?????????? :sh_ut:
Although it appears to be sufficient for the moment with real Canadian Carnival lived in London (Canada) last Worlds.
(Actually this work exists, but I don’t like so much and I think is not very interesting for skating. Sorry, I only wrote it to make a joke… I know I have done something bad but…sometimes I like to be a bad girl). :de_vil:

More seriously . Now some special by the same composer but much more mature and personal works. I accept certain amount of eccentricity to these two choices but I think it is worth an attentive listening (more than once maybe) and take them into account. :smu:sche_nie:

BRITTEN: Four Sea Interludes , Op 33a from Opera Peter Grimes
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6esm67yWpA&list=PLEKS0HFh3cqy8q_VRsfCuK4tyKPW54YTW&index=1
1. Dawn ( Lento e tranquillo )
2. Sunday Morning ( Allegro spiritoso )
3. Moonlight ( Andante comodo e rubato )
4. Storm ( Presto con fuoco )
You see, the orchestration is very personnel and the author manages particularly colors from orchestra.

BRITTEN: Six Metamorphoses after Ovid for solo oboe (1951), with quotations from Ovid's Metamorphoses poem.
If you like something different, get it here!. I particularly like the first one, pity that is so short even for short program but with other aid?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vh96omI0bYE&list=PLEKS0HFh3cqw7o-rmqNdzGdeIjbmjNacB
1. Pan , who played upon the reed pipe which was Syrinx, his beloved.
2. Phaeton , who rode upon the chariot of the sun for one day and was hurled into the river Padus by a thunderbolt.
3. Niobe , who, lamenting the death of her fourteen children, was turned into a mountain.
4. Bacchus , at whose feasts is heard the noise of gaggling women's tattling tongues and shouting out of boys.
5. Narcissus , who fell in love with his own image and became a flower.
6. Arethusa , who, flying from the love of Alpheus the river god, was turned into a fountain.

Going to change the composer:

Ralph Vaughan Williams (1872–1958)
Was an English composer of symphonies, chamber music, opera, choral music, and film scores. He was also a collector of English folk music and song: this activity both influenced his editorial approach to the English Hymnal, beginning in 1904, in which he included many folk song arrangements set as hymn tunes, and also influenced several of his own original compositions.

First, the well-known:
Vaughan Williams: Fantasia on Greensleeves (1934) (4’40’’ aprox.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCKR2EqUjjg (various versions and lirics; first of all is by Vaughan Williams )
The tune based on was found in several late-16th-century and early 17th-century sources, such as Ballet's MS Lute Book and Het Luitboek van Thysius, as well as various manuscripts preserved in the Cambridge University libraries.

Inspired by George Meredith's 122-line poem of the same name about the skylark. He included this portion of Meredith's poem on the flyleaf of the published work:

He rises and begins to round,
he drops the silver chain of sound,
of many links without a break,
in chirrup, whistle, slur and shake.

For singing till his heaven fills,
‘tis love of earth that he instils,
and ever winging up and up,
our valley is his golden cup
and he the wine which overflows
to lift us with him as he goes.

Till lost on his aerial rings
in light, and then the fancy sings.

Re: Ледовые шоу(общая информация) || Shows News

Oh,he 's on ice and even spun. :ny_tik:
The doctors allowed not to do complex moves and jumping. But i think spinning also has some impact on legs.
...
And to the spine - there's a lot of centrifugal force ... not to mention, if he fell :plush47:

An unnecessary risk...?, maybe, but in my opinion we have to think about the psychological benefit at this moment.

I confess I was very worried when He said something about play golf few days ago but then, I reflected and a friend remembered me that Evgeny needs sport in his life so much and I felt much relieved. I remembered when I have to stop in my musical activity due an injury for three months!! (then a large rehabilitation, bla, bla, bla) and I said me: "You believed loose your mind, you know how He feels!!. He need a breathing instead everybody saying him be careful, be careful, be careful all the time. Of course He has care him!"

I think that spin (it was slow; you can see at video that He moved carefully), this little moment on the ice... He knows is an excepcional time in his recovery but, He need it, He needed to feel a pair of skates on hes feet, He need to feel the ice... Look at his face pose alone on ice!!, He is like a kid at first time on ice, all his love for figure skating is in his expression.
I am sure that He measure the risk and I insist, the psychological benefit will encourage him.

Agree with you, if He do it again, we will have some words with him, OK?. :st_op:

Evgeny, take care our friend!!! :plush10:

If you are referring how to post an image:

1. find out the source address of the image, for example, for the image of Plushy and edvin, right click the photo and use "copy image URL";
2. press "img" in the edit window of your post (or simply type the image code "[*img][*/img]"(emit the "*" that is for these code to be displayed :mi_ga_et: ): copy the URL you just copied between them. So the result would be like:

Re: Пресса о Жене, интервью Жени || Press about Evgeni ON Ic

I am so worried about general degeneration of journalism.

It is presumed that journalism is a proffesion for collect and show information to make it available to the public at large. This information has to be certified and rigorous before to be publish.
In other side, the opinion journalism is provided but through the analysis of information taken under the same strict principles.

Instead, every day we have to deal with gossips and rumours -from unknown sources- presented as truths or “news” based on controversy created by journalists themselves.
In other words, a pigswill , a factory of “news” for sell, where truth is not important.
To make matters worse, we have the assistance to the analysts. In general, journalists not a specialist in anything but expert in public opinion influencing basing their serious judicious in the most banal sources (like a popular poll in this case).

What a pity!!, is so sad certainly!!

Please…!!!, Evgeny Plushenko is a national proud for any country where He could born!!!. How is possible that this woman doesn’t feel shame speaking at this manner?.
But of course, digging his grave is better for sell that help him.
Not for nothing, because He only has first and second steps at podium since 2000 and because no one Russian men skater has proven to be above him, even this year with physically so reduced. And two both are insoluble truths.

Yes injuries and surgeries are an obstacle; age?, maybe. But Evgeny always has proven that is able to fight against any barrier (even stupid journalists).

Really, is there someone capable NOT to give him a vote of confidence?
How is possible that there are people who is unable to see a generous and admirable act in Evgeni’s tenacity!!!.

Life for Evgeny without competition could be so easy since years ago. He has money, popularity, a nice family, friends…; and now we are not speaking about his serious injury on back. But NO!!, He loves skating in all dimensions and his fight is for this natural and admirable own way of understanding sport and life (probably World be better if we learn from him to love our job at this manner; journalism will be better, I am sure).

Evgeny has shown great honesty throughout his life. Evgeny will fight to the finish for his dream that is the dream of many people. If He feel in good condition will fight in Sochi and if no, He will be the first to tell us.
But, anyway, whatever happens, Evgeni is above any result and his rivals will not on the ice of Sochi. Evgeny competes against his own legend, He competes against skating history, He competes to broke records. Evgeny is an explorer of live, he is a real and sincere artist for whom risk is the muse to flirt and seduce the ice, and the ice loves him.

Why is it so difficult to understand?
