World Figure Skating Championships(R) 2012
March 28 – April 1, 2012 with Preliminary Rounds on March 26 – 27, 2012

1. GENERAL REGULATIONS


The ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2012 will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2010, the ISU Special Regulations & Technical Rules Single & Pair Skating and Ice Dance 2010, as well as all pertinent ISU Communications.
Participation in the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2012 is open to all Competitors who belong to an ISU Member in accordance with Rule 130, paragraph 2 and qualify with regard to eligibility according to Rule 102, provided their ages fall within the limits specified in Rule 108, paragraph 2. a) and they meet the participation, citizenship and residency requirements in Rule 109, paragraphs 1 through 5 and Communication No. 1420.

In accordance with Rule 109 of the ISU Regulations and ISU Communication No. 1420, all Skaters who do not have the nationality of the Member by which they have been entered or who, although having such nationality, have in the past represented another Member, must produce an ISU Clearance Certificate.



2. TECHNICAL DATA


All Championship events as well as some official practices will take place at the Palais des Exposition (30 meters x 60 meters). The remainder of the official practices will take place at the Palais des Sports Jean- Bouin, (30 meters x 60 meters). These two facilities are within walking distance of each other (next door). Both are indoor, heated, artificial ice surfaces.


2.1 Preliminary Rounds

Preliminary Rounds will be in place according to Rule 378, The Preliminary Rounds include only Free Skating/Free Dance according to the requirements as to paragraph 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 of this Announcement.


2.2 Single Skating

2.2.1 Men

Short Program
The prescribed elements to be skated are those listed in ISU Technical Rule Single and Pair Skating 2010, Rule 511, paragraphs 1 and 2 and the respective ISU Communication.
Duration : 2 minutes and 50 seconds maximum, but may be less

Free Skating
In accordance with ISU Technical Rules Single and Pair Skating 2010, Rule 512 and the respective ISU Communication.
Duration : 4 minutes and 30 seconds, +/- 10 seconds

The multiplying factors for the Program Components for Single Skating are listed in Rule 353, paragraph 1, m).

2.2.2 Ladies

Short Program
The prescribed elements to be skated are those listed in ISU Technical Rules Single and Pair Skating 2010, Rule 511, paragraphs 1 and 2 and the respective ISU Communication.
Duration : 2 minutes and 50 seconds maximum, but may be less

Free Skating
In accordance with ISU Technical Rules Single and Pair Skating 2010, Rule 512 and the respective ISU Communication.
Duration : 4 minutes, +/- seconds

2.3 Pairs

Short Program
The prescribed elements to be skated are those listed in ISU Technical Rules Single and Pair Skating 2010, Rule 520, paragraphs 1 and 2, group for 2011/12 and the respective ISU Communication.
Duration : 2 minutes and 50 seconds maximum, but may be less

Free Skating
In accordance with ISU Technical Rules Single and Pair Skating 2010, Rule 521 and the respective ISU Communication.
Duration : 4 minutes and 30 seconds, +/- 10 seconds

2.4 Ice Dance

Short Dance
In accordance with ISU Technical Rules Ice Dance 2010, Rule 609 and all pertinent ISU Communications.

Rhythms : One to three of the following Latin American Rhythms: Cha Cha, Rhumba, Samba, Mambo, Merengue.

Required Elements : 2 Pattern Dance Elements: Two (2) Sequences of Rhumba , either skated one after the other or not skated one after the other.
One (1) Short Lift,
One (1) Not Touching Circular Step Sequence,
One (1) Set of Sequential Twizzles.

The Pattern Dance Elements can be skated to any of the above mentioned Rhythms (both elements to the same Rhythm or one element to one Rhythm and the second element to a different Rhythm), in the style of this (these) Rhythm(s), with the following range of tempo: 43 to 45 measures of four beats per minute (172-180 beats per minute). The tempo of the music throughout the Pattern Dance Elements must be constant.

Latin American Rhythms are described in the ISU Ice Dance Music Rhythms Booklet 1995, pages 13 to 20 (Note: Tango and Paso Doble, which are not included in the description, are not allowed).

Music for the entire Short Dance (including music for specified Pattern Dance) is provided by the couple and may be vocal.
Duration : 2 minutes and 50 seconds, +/- 10 sec

Free Dance
In accordance with ISU Technical Rule Ice Dance 2010, Rule 610 and all pertinent ISU Communication. For the value of the required elements and components see the respective ISU Communication.

ISU Technical Rules Ice Dance 2010, Rule 610 paragraph 2 (required elements) and the respective ISU Communication must be observed.
Duration : 4 minutes, +/- 10 sec.

3. ENTRIES


3.1 Entries of Competitors

In accordance with Rule 378, ISU Members must enter Competitors and their substitutes on the official entry forms. Entries must reach the Chair of the ISU Sports Directorate, the ISU Secretariat and the Organizing Committee not later than March 4, 2012 – 20:00 h, local time Nice (see Rule 378, paragraph 1). Entries must be made by the Member concerned and must be forwarded by letter, fax or electronic mail. Entries by e-mail and fax must be confirmed by a letter to the Organizing Committee sent out simultaneously (Rule 115, para 5).

Preliminary entries (by number) must reach the ISU Secretariat and the Organizing Committee no later than October 1st, 2011.

All Competitors must turn in to the Organizing Committee together with the entry forms the “Program Content Sheet”. It is not permitted to hand over the Program Content Sheets directly to the acting Officials.

Please note that for all persons entered by the Members the procedures in regard to the Declaration for Competitors and Officials entering ISU Events (Rule 131) as outlined in ISU Communication 1628 need to be strictly observed.


3.2 Entries of Team Members

Official entries of Team Leaders, Assistant Team Leaders, Team Officials, Team Medical Staff and Coaches and the partner or relative of a Judge will be accepted.

Accreditation will be provided to those who are officially accepted by the Organizing Committee.

Please be advised that only one Coach per Skater will be accredited. An Assistant Team Leader will be accepted for Teams having six (6) and more Skaters. Only two Team Officials of each Member, including the Member President or other members of the Member provided that they are Council/Board members, Technical Committee members or members of the Head Office of their Federation, will be accredited. Not more than one (1) Team Doctor and one (1) Team Physiotherapist will be accepted as the Team Medical Staff, for which the Organizing Committee requests the right to have a medical certification (document) presented before accreditation. A partner or relative of a Judge will be accepted for restricted accreditation. The Members must guarantee that the requested accreditation of Team members will correspond to their function within the team.

The names of Team Leaders, Assistant Team Leaders, Team Officials, Team Medical Staff and Coaches must be listed on the Entry Form “Composition of Delegation”. Judges and Judges’ partners or relatives are to be listed on that separate form.

For Chaperons (one per Competitor) the Team Leader can request a “bus permit” which will include access to practices. Chaperones will not stay in the Official Skating Family Hotel. Due to new ISU policy the chaperons will not receive any special price tickets to the competition events or the Exhibition.

All Forms must be returned to the Organizing Committee by registered mail or fax not later than March 4, 2012 – 20:00 h, local time Nice.



4. JUDGES


4.1 Nomination of Judges

According to ISU Special Regulations & Technical Rules Single & Pair Skating and Ice Dance 2010, Rules 582 and 660, the official entry form for Judges by number must reach the ISU Secretariat by October 1, 2011, indicating with the entry, in which discipline of the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2012 the Member intends to participate in the respective draw, which will be held together with the draw for the panels of the Preliminary Rounds according to Rule 582. The Member must also indicate with the entry, which Judge will be available to judge the Pair discipline.

In accordance with the draw results, the official entry form for Judges by name must reach the Chair of the ISU Sports Directorate, the ISU Secretariat and the Organizing Committee not later than February 9, 2012 – 20:00 h, local time Nice (see Rules 582 and 627).

4.2 Judges Meeting, Draw and Judges’ Round Table Discussions

The individual Judges Meetings and – if applicable – an additional Judges draw will be held one (1) day prior to each first segment of each individual discipline. The draw for the seating order of the panels of Judges will be made 45 min. prior to each segment. Subsequent draws, as required, will be made at the Palais des Exposition in the intermediate draw room. A detailed draw schedule will be published on site.

Judges' Round Table Discussions are scheduled the day following the conclusion of the respective event.



5. MEALS, LODGING, PREPAYMENT AND TRAVEL EXPENSES


In accordance with Rule 137 the expenses are regulated as follows:

a) all expenses for accommodation and meals for the participants entered by the participating Members, i.e. Competitors, Team Leaders, Team Officials and other team members (except Judges) during the Preliminary Rounds are borne by the participating Members. The share of the ISU contributing towards such expenses including additional unforeseen travel expenses (Rule 378) is published in ISU Communication 1655, under point 3.

b) all expenses for accommodation and meals for all Competitors participating in the Championships (not including the Preliminary Rounds) will be covered by the Organizing Committee during the period beginning with dinner three (3) days before the first competition day of the Championships (not including the Preliminary Rounds) and ending with lunch on the day following the last prize giving or the awards banquet or the exhibition, whichever is later.

c) all expenses for accommodation and meals for one (1) Team Leader for each participating Member in the Championships (not including the Preliminary Rounds) will be covered by the Organizing Committee during the period for which the Organizing Committee has to pay for rooms and meals for at least one Competitor of the team (see paragraph b), beginning with dinner three (3) days before the first competition day of the Championships (not including the Preliminary Rounds) and ending with lunch on the day following the last prize giving or the awards banquet or the exhibition, whichever is later.

d) all expenses for accommodation and meals for the Technical Controller, Technical Specialists, Referee, Judges, Data & Replay Operator, invited to serve in the Preliminary Rounds, will be covered by the Organizing Committee beginning with lunch on the day preceding the concerned Initial Judges Meeting for the Preliminary Rounds (see schedule on page 11 of this Announcement) and ending with lunch after the Round Table Discussion for Officials or the exhibition or the banquet, whichever is later.

e) All expenses for accommodation and meals for Official(s) serving in the Championships only (i.e. not serving in the Preliminary Rounds) will be covered by the Organizing Committee beginning with lunch on the day preceding the concerned Initial Judges’ meeting (see schedule on page 12 of this Announcement) of the respective competition (not including the Preliminary Rounds) and ending with lunch after the Round Table Discussion for Officials or the exhibition or the banquet, whichever is later.

Should any Competitor, Team Leader or Official arrive at the Hotel before the time indicated above or stay longer, the costs for accommodation and meals are at the burden of the user.

It is the responsibility of the participating Members to make the necessary travel plans and arrangements for their Skaters.

All extra expenses incurred by any Competitor or any kind of Official will be the responsibility of the individual and must be paid prior to departure.

The Organizing Committee requests that, for all Team Members whose accommodation expenses are not covered by the Organizing Committee as outlined above, a pre-payment (deposit) to guarantee the availability of required rooms be made. Please use the official forms received with the first Information Letter for booking and calculation. The pre-payment (50% of the total amount) must be made by November 15, 2011 . The terms of payment for the remainder will be published well in time by the Organizing Committee.

Travel expenses will be paid in accordance with Rule 137. Out of pocket expenses for Referees, Technical Controllers, Technical Specialists, OAC Members, Judges, Data & Replay Operators will be paid in accordance with the Memorandum for Guidance in Holding ISU Figure Skating Championships and ISU Communication No.1631, paragraph II.K) or any update of this Communication. Payments will be provided at registration. No expenses will be reimbursed for any other accompanying persons (i.e. Interpreters, Assistant Team Leaders, Coaches, Chaperones, Medical Personnel, Team Officials, etc.).



6. PRACTICE


Official practices for Competitors (Preliminary Rounds) begin on Sunday, March 25, 2012. Practice for all direct qualified Competitors will begin Monday, March 26, 2012 (two days prior to the first competition day of the Championships). The detailed schedule will be issued at the time of registration. Rule 540, paragraph 4 and Rule 629, paragraph 7 must be observed.



7. MUSIC


All Competitors shall furnish competition music of excellent quality on either MP3 or CD (Compact Disk) format. The disks must show the exact running time of the music (not skating time), which shall be certified by the Competitor and by the Coach when submitted at the time of registration. Each program (short/free/interpretive free) must be recorded on one track and on a separate disk. Competitors must provide a back-up drive for each program.

The titles, composers and orchestras of the music to be used for the Short Program and Free Skating Program for Singles and Pairs, for the Short Dance and Free Dance Program for Ice Dance and for the Exhibition, must be listed for each Competitor on the official Music Selection Form and attached to the official Entry Form for Competitors, according to Rule 378, paragraph 4 (sent by registered mail or fax).

In accordance with Rule 343, paragraph 1, all disks must show the Competition event, Competitors name, the Nation and the exact running time of the music - not skating time - including any starting signal and must be submitted at the time of registration.

If music information is not complete and disks not provided, accreditation will not be given.



8. ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE OF PARTICIPANTS


All ISU Event Officials, Competitors, Team Leaders and Team Officials taking part in the Championships are requested to announce as soon as possible but not later than March 4, 2012 , to the Organizing Committee, on the enclosed forms, the names of the airlines, flight numbers, dates and times of arrival at Nice International Airport (NCE) or Main Railway Station. These two locations are considered as the official arrival/departure points for the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2012, from where a shuttle transfer will be organized.

Coaches, Team Medical Staff and Chaperones are only met if they travel with the team.



9. REGISTRATION


All ISU Office Holders, ISU Event Officials, Competitors, Team Leaders, Team Officials, Team Medical Staff and one Coach (per Competitor) taking part in the Championships are requested to register for the "ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2012 Nice" as follows:

Accreditation for ISU Office Holders, ISU Event Officials and Teams will be located in Accreditation Center 1 in front of the main rink and for the Media at Accreditation Center 2 in front of the main rink.

All Competitors and Judges will be required to present their passport or other official Schengen travel document for those being resident in Schengen countries (and Clearance Certificate if the passport is not of the same country as the Member entering the Skater and/or the Skater having previously represented another Member) prior to receiving accreditation. Accreditation will not be issued without presentation of a valid passport or the Schengen document.

11. OPENING CEREMONY ON ICE


The Opening Ceremony on Ice will take place on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 18:00 h, at the Palais des Expositions.



12. DRAWS - ORDER OF SKATING


The draws for the order of skating will be held individually per discipline at the Palais des Expositions – Press Conference and Draw room / Media Center. The dates, places and time will be provided at Registration.



13. EXHIBITION


All medalists and other Competitors will be selected to give an exhibition on Sunday afternoon, April 1, 2012 – 14:15 h, at the Palais des Expositions according to Rule 104, paragraph 17 a) and b).



14. LIABILITY


In accordance with Rule 119, it is the sole obligation of each ISU Member participating in ISU Events, as defined in Rule 107, to provide medical and accident insurance for their athletes, officials and all other members of the ISU Member’s team. Such insurance must assure full medical attendance and also the return of the ill or injured person to the home country by air transport or by other expeditious means. The ISU assumes no responsibility for or liability with respect to bodily or personal injury or property damage incurred in connection incurred by Competitors and Officials.



15. ANTI-DOPING


The Anti-Doping tests will be conducted in accordance with the current ISU Anti-Doping Rules & Procedures (ISU Communications No. 1650 and 1651 or any further update of this Communication).

The tests will be carried out on the four (4) best placed Competitors in Singles (after the final Free Skating), Pair Skating (after the Free Skating) and Ice Dance (after the Free Dance). One Competitor from the remainder of the Competitors shall be selected by random draw in Singles, Pair Skating and Ice Dance. In Pair Skating and Ice Dance, either the man or the lady, but not both, shall be tested and shall be selected by random draw.



16. TITLES AND MEDALS


The winners will bear the title according to Rule 133:

World Pair Champions for 2012
World Ice Dance Champions for 2012

ISU gold medals will be awarded to the Champions and ISU silver and bronze medals to the second and third placed Competitors at the end of the finals in each discipline.

In accordance with Rule 134, paragraph 3 f), a small ISU gold medal will be awarded to the winner of each event (Short Program and Free Skating for Ladies, Men and Pairs and Short Dance and Free Dance for Ice Dance) and small silver and bronze medals to the second and third in each category, but no anthem will be played or flags raised. The distribution will be made according to Rule 134, paragraph 3f).



17. NATIONAL ANTHEM


The Organizing Committee asks all Members to bring a copy of their National Anthem on MD or CD.

First part:


Evgeni, his feet on the ice rink countering the pain of new skates, Evgeni who just finished a hard session on the rink going to the river in order to quench with cold water the throbbing knee pain after the surgery. Evgeni running, riding mountain bike, training in the gym, on the ice rink and running again, back in the gym... These days at Pinzolo, last camp of the "Mishin Mission", Evgeni Plushenko has proven iron will to return to competitions already during the next season. After two surgeries - one on the knee and another one in the back, in order to solve a chronic pain - we find him decided to fight like never before.
He's skinny, even more than he was during the last Olympics, he looks in amazing shape, he reminds me of the 2004 season. The face is sharp, the body is thin. After only one month after surgery, he already lands beautiful triples, also the triple axel is magnificent as always.
I had the privilege of assisting in the preparation of some parts of upcoming programs, and as always I found the beauty of Evgeni's art, his unique ability to convey emotion, even by a simple arm’s movement. Work hard: the spins, wherein he has greatly lowered center of gravity and increased the speed; the transitions, for which he was heavily criticized, both are subject of a special care, and step sequences will be a true feast for the figure skating fans.
I'm excited to witness the birth and development of a new program that will become - so we hope - the trump card in the forthcoming races of Evgeni. This experience once again returns the image of a single athlete and an artist capable of transmitting unforgettable emotions. And this is the reason why I follow him a long time.
But what strikes me most of this unique champion is the grit. The desire to fight, never giving up, seems to be the peculiarity of his character, his winning weapons. After winning the winnable in this fascinating and very hard sport, he's still hungry for victory, the desire to give and to be there, that normally are the prerogative of those who have not yet reached the highest levels. As he replied to those who were saying that the struggle was over by now, "I have not yet stopped fighting."
So Evgeni is still struggling, before with his competitors on the ice rink against himself, against the pain left on his body by many years of skating, against the inexorable advancing age. As he tell us during a break before returning to his training: "I have to work hard because I'm old", we deny this, but he insists: "In this sport you can reach the maximum between 18 and 21 years, then the effort becomes increasingly large and to remain competitive you have to work a lot, harder than others. "
He confirms us that he means to return to competitions during the next season, but he's cautious with predictions: the knee surgery is recent and the pain is still intense. He prefer to talk not about the opponents, he's concentrated on himself and his ambitious goals.
First of all, the Olympics of Sochi, which is one of the engines of his motivation to compete. Пируетте: Вы выиграли уже три олимпийские медали, больше чем любой другой фигурист современнгости. Все остальные титулы тоже у вас в кармане. Что мотивирует вас продолжать?
- Шоу хороши, но им не хватает экстрима. Я ищу экстрим. Я пошел на курсы экстремального вождения автомобилей и мотоциклов, и я начал играть в пейнтбол, но всего этого было не достаточно.
То есть ФК – это экстремальный вид спорта?
- Фигурное катание является экстремальным видом спорта. Выступая на соревнованиях, Вы чувствуете этот адреналин. Я хотел вернуться в 2010 году и проверить себя еще раз, и я думаю, что это мне удалось. Весь сезон был великолепен. То, что судьи дали мне второе место в Ванкувере, не имеет значения. Я катался хорошо, выполнил все, что планировал, и поэтому я доволен. Главное вернуться без травм. Сейчас вот у меня болело опять левое колено, и мне сделали операцию на мениске в Мюнхене. Это меня беспокоит, но вообще настроение хорошее, я настроен на борьбу и хочу участвовать в соревнованиях. Может быть в этом сезоне не так все хорошо получится, но до 2014 у меня есть время, чтобы тренироваться, готовиться, эксперементировать. Посмотрим. Я расчитываю на хороший результат.
И важная цель - Сочи
-Конечно. Я мечтаю выступить на четвертых для меня ОИ и вписать свое имя в историю. Я попробую это сделать.
Но у вас и так есть уже место в истории
- Да, у меня уже есть свое место в истории фигурного катания, но я могу подтвердить это еще раз на очень высоком уровне. У меня есть план на будущее. Хочу открыть в Петербурге собственную школу ФК. Если А.Н. Мишин не будет против, хочу продолжить его дело в его школе, вместес ним. Ведь если я буду работать тренером, то по его методикам. У меня мечта – построить такую школу, возможно даже интернат, в котором дети могли бы тренироваться, жить и учиться. Когда после Сочи окончательно закончу свою карьеру, хочу делать собствнные шоу и ледовые сказки. У меня много планов, но я хочу как можно дольше оставаться в спорте и привлекать в него новых детей.
Есть ли поддержка вашему проекту?
-На сегодняшний день есть частные инвесторы, мои друзья. Естественно должна быть господдержка, а когда планы будут конкретизованы, было бы желательно встретиться с Медведевым и Путиным, чтобы они дали нам зеленый свет. В Петербурге до сих пор мало ледовых арен. Академия переполнена. Юбилейный тоже. Нехватка помещений. Надо сейчас вкладывать в это средства. Все говорят, мы готовы строить для 2014, а что потом? Как будто бы и ничего. Мы должны ориентироваться на будущее, дети подрастают, а ФК не стоит на месте.
Вы сказали, ФК не стоит на месте. Что нового хотите показать в будущем?
-Мне нравятся прыжки. Я люблю чтверные. Работаю над новыми четверными – сальхов и лутцом. Я раньше их прыгал, должен вернуть себе этот навык. Естественно, сегодня все по-другому. Раньше я прыгал и делал обороты не особо об этом задумываясь – в 18 -20 лет. А сейчас телу нужна другая подготовка. Больше тренировок. Это нелегко.
Какие программы хотите показать?
- У нас уже есть ПП, то есть музыка. Пока не хочу публично об этом говорить. Есть идеи на КП (музыка) сейчас делаем. Мне кажется, это будет интересно. В ПП у меня будет другой имидж, трагичный – пока столько могу выдать.
С какими хореографами будете работать?
-Хореографом в этом сезоне будет Марина Яцевич, бывшая балерина, выступавшая в Большом театре. Не хочу исключать Дэвида Авдыша. Договорился с Браунингом на 2 недели совместной работы – будем оттачивать переходы.
Какие планы на этот сезон?

- I know many things. When the first time I met him, he said to me "You are walking a whole day the same place like an elephant in the jungle! That's whay you can't make a good job!!" (Laugh). And, he divided his students into two groups because there are too many skateres. He called two groups - "Ugly" and "Not ugly" (Laugh). I know much more about that. It's so funny. :hi_hi_hi:

- "Coach Mishin" reminds me of Plushenko. Do you think relationships between them is special?
- I do think it seems that Plushenko is special to him. He usually lays down the law to his pupils. But I see he has a sort of parental love (she says like "Daddy's love" in Japanese :hi_hi_hi: ) for Plushenko. Sometimes he looks at Plushenko with concerned eyes (Laugh). So, Plushenko is special unlike other pupils.

A year ago I joined the Evgeni Plushenko Official Forum. I remember how shy I was, so scared of making mistakes! I didn't understand a word, the Page looked like an impenetrable forest full of incomprehensible signs - the letters of the Cyrillic alphabet. Also the English posts were hard to get, since I wasn't yet enough good in using the online translator.
The first thing I wrote - I remember it very well! - was a question about the first tattoo of Plush: I loved it so much!
During this year I told you so many things, except the most important: Plush has made my life more beautiful, because of his being such an amazing artist on the ice, and such a wonderful person, so strong, so brave, so sensitive!
I must thank him also for this Page, where I found so many friends with whom to share my passions.
Since the beautiful things are even more beautiful when someone responds to your smile. :-):

В 2001 году образ культуриста в исполнении Жени на музыку Тома Джонса "Секс-бомб" прошел на ура. Тогда, правда, чемпионат мира проходил в Ванкувере и трюк был оправдан. В Дортмунде Плющенко предстал совсем другим - более душевным и лиричным, воплотив на льду миниатюру "Асисяй" Вячеслава Полунина.
Стать лицедеем на льду Плющенко хотел уже давно. Вместе с тренером он частенько посещал известный в городе клуб "Чаплин", где регулярно выступают известные мим-клоуны. Женя присматривался к их движениям, пропитывался духом лицедейства. Но настоящая работа началась только в прошлом году, когда к работе подключился хореограф Александр Степин. Александр Александрович слывет классным педагогом в области актерского мастерства. Он преподает этот предмет в Академии русского балета им. Вагановой. Опыт работы с фигуристами у него большой. В свое время Степин консультировал олимпийских чемпионов Артура Дмитриева и Наталью Мишкутенок. Правда, с последней не сработался по причине недоверия со стороны Наташи. С помощью пластических и психологических этюдов помогал восстанавливаться после тяжелейшей операции Лене Бережной.
"Алексей Мишин попросил для начала дать два-три пробных урока Жене, - вспоминает Александр Степин. - Затем мы стали заниматься регулярно. Основная работа над номером для чемпионата мира - 2004 развернулась за две недели до турнира. Мы занимались три-четыре раза в неделю по два часа". Известный хореограф не скупился на похвалы фигуристу, отмечая, как легко ему работалось с ним. "У Жени очень богатый и энергетически мощный внутренний мир. Я лишь вносил небольшие штрихи, мазки в программу..." - поясняет Александр Александрович.
По словам хореографа, полностью повторять сюжеты Полунина они не хотели. "Каждый из нас вносил что-то свое. Но главной проблемой было отсутствие шумовых красок в фонограмме", - вспоминает Степин.
"В этом смысле мы очень благодарны за помощь звукорежиссеру радио "Европа Плюс" Александру Стулову, - говорит Алексей Мишин. - А насвистывать в концовке марш предложил Стулову именно я".
Тренер считает, что лицедейская программа Жене удалась, вот только концовка была смазана. "Если помните, первая женщина на трибуне, к которой подошел Женя, танцевать не захотела и задержала номер, - смеется Мишин. - В результате Плющенко закончил выступление в мужском наряде, хотя должен был в юбке. А вообще-то я больше всего боялся, что Женю заподозрят в нетрадиционной ориентации. В Америке гомосексуализм среди фигуристов и тренеров процветает. Но Женя несет в себе такое сильное мужское начало, что пока я не слышал каких-либо насмешек в его адрес".
А вот Александр Степин жалеет, что им с Женей не хватило времени, чтобы хорошенько поработать над мимикой лица спортсмена. Да и шумовое оформление больше все-таки предназначено для сцены, а не для большой ледовой площадки. Так что здесь тоже есть возможности для улучшения.
Сразу после чемпионата мира в Дортмунде Плющенко отправился в Америку - репетировать программы в летнем заокеанском шоу-туре. Везти ли новый показательный номер в Штаты, они с тренером пока не решили. А вот Александр Степин считает, что это надо сделать обязательно. "Все время подстраиваться под американскую публику не стоит, - говорит хореограф. - Женя имеет полное право сказать что-то свое, задушевное, по-настоящему питерское".

Согласна с тем, что лично Жене он триста лет не нужен, поэтому он и не пишет по три месяца. Но если вспомнить историю с дисквалификацией, то я предпочитаю знать не только то, что говорит Я. Р. или пресса, а то, что говорит сам Женя. Различную "рекламу" и "акции" можно пропускать, а вот твиты, которые говорят о его настроении, очень важны.

Плющенко ездит на утренние тренировки, слушает в машине смешные радиопередачи, прыгает квад,- чего ещё нужно для успокоения болельщика? :plush45:

It was unforgettable. Zhenya really made this day. He tried to start with quad but tripled it (before he succeeded it in the practice section). Then he landed three huge 3,5 axels and showed awesome performance, full of energy, grace and incredible personality. It was real “Je sui malade”, not worse then on Olimpics. I saw Tatyana Tarasova applauding him after every axel. At the end the whole audience greeted him with standing ovation. There were a lot of flowers and toys. Any other athlete would congratulate himself with such a good start but Zhenya was so upset because of that quad as if it was already in Sochi. When we meet he returned to this question two or three times, said us that he was nervous today, that quad is not consistent yet and leg still bothers him a bit. It's obvious that Zhenya feels a great pressure from the very beginning, even before competitions really start. He had to give a lot of interviews for media and met with us totally life drained. But he was very attentive, spend with us enough time despite of some journalists awaiting and answered all our questions. Now as never before he needs every possible support. So my big respect to the girls, they really did the best. Also, a lot of thanks to Irina for her help with invitation ticket.

I don't think that skating to Je suis malade, an exhibition, is the same with skating to a new program. What are the "judges' testing, if Evgeni is in a good shape? I think he really needs a feed-back before he enters the competitions. :-(

Of course it is not the same, but from the way the test skate was run, I think Plushy was more like a special guest than one of the skaters being "tested". And just personally, as a fan, seeing him in good shape and happy is more important to me than judges.

And it's not as if he and his team don't know what they are doing, frankly. There are plenty of chances for feedback. At JO, for one thing.

Сегодня в том же составе поддерживали Женю баннерами,цветами, игрушками,кричалками до и после проката! :ya_hoo_oo: :plush46:
Женя сегодня совсем беднягой выглядел.После проката вышел к нам,полуживой.Даже на тренировках было видно,что нога болит,все время тер коленку :plush34:
Я спросила после проката нога болит сегодня очень?.Он ответил,всё очень болит.Поеду лечиться.
Мы его сегодня особо не мучили.Поблагодарили за выступление.Даже несмотря на такое самочувствие,он сделал четверной и тройной аксель :plush46: :plush40: Все поочередно сфоторафировались :son-ce: .Женя с нами предложил до 16 сентября провести мастер класс в Новогорске :son-ce:
Я ему:"Женя,Вы сначала подлечите ногу".Он ответил,всё делать будем параллельно. :plush40:
Было приятно,что цветы,которые мы бросали на лед он взял и собой. :-):
Да,сказали что все кто не смог приехать просили передать,что ждут,любят,желают скорейшего выздоровления и что в восторге от вчерашнего выступления!!! :plush46:
Ещё некоторое время фотографировался ,раздавал автографы желающим.Было очень много детей из ДЮШ ФК. Он с ними пообщался,поспрашивал,что они научились,что умеют уже. Даже посоветовал что -то ....)
