Простите, добавлюсь... Прочла всё, что написано на этом форме и даже (чисто от себя, позавидовала), Евгений, как же Вас любят! И не только у нас, в России, по всему миру!
Такой человек рождается только раз в столетие! Но справедливей, конечно, сказать, что такой фигурист рождается раз в столетие! В этом столетии, начиная с самого начала и заканчивая концом 21 столетия, Вы будете всегда первым! Первым из всех сильнейших фигуристов 21 века!
Король, король, король! И никак иначе!

As stated in my original post, plushenko's skating far far surpasses any medal......and cannot simply be defined by a medal...demanding a medal would not be the way I would want to see Plushenko receive one..even though I think a terrible mistake happened and should be closely looked at. Lysacek in my mind only, was not known prior to this event, nor will he be remembered by me in the future, as a real champion, as someone that special on the ice comparatively...scott hamilton even noted how special plushenko's skating is and has always been, at the time of the competition. I think that taking the high road always is the best approach, but i don't see a problem at all with lodging a formal complaint about the way this was scored and seeing it through, approaching it with poise, dignity and respectfully.

Today was the cherry for me.
I havent seen worse Olympics than this in terms of how they manipulate the media and the people. How idiocy has been translated to class and gracefulness. I m not surprised but yet very sad.
Torino was nothing like this. I had not seen an article attack an athlete like this. This is the worst Olympics ever. They do not deserve Evgeni over there. Come back Evgeni, dont even bother.

Please be happy for your medal and celebrate it , it is already our favorite of all your medals. We love it so much and it has a special place in our hearts, like the Torino medal, and this one we love it even more! It is the medal of the fight and the triuph of a legendary athlete and person. It was earned with love and passion and your big heart. Colors of medal dont matter, the person who wears the medal matters and for all the people You are the King. Always! We cried for you and now we are happy that we saw you fight in Olympics for 3rd time. We will never forget it!!!! THANK you!!!!!

Dearest Evgeni Viktorovich,

I apologize if you were offended by my previous words. I have given this a lot more thought, and I truly do support your decision to protest. I was wrong to think only of your reputation when there is more at stake than that. However, I must tell you some things that I thought of. I think you could benefit from reading this.

You are a religious man. You thank God, rightfully, for all that you have. I am no expert in Orthodoxy, nor am I knowledgeable about your own true beliefs about your church. I do not presume to know. I believe, that you believe, that all things come from God. All things happen according to His Divine Will and All-Knowing Plan. If you believe this, I ask you to take the following advice into consideration.

First, close your eyes. Put your hand to your heart and feel your heart beating beneath your touch. Listen to the sound of your breathing. Reflect on your life, and all you have overcome from childhood to now. God has set you on this path. When you have reflected, I ask you to keep your eyes closed, and take one of the crosses you wear around your neck into your hand. Think of Our Lord for a few minutes. All things come through God. I'm sure you must believe this. God has given you your talent. He gives you the food you eat, the air you breathe, the water you drink. He has helped you overcome the poverty and pain you have lived in through all of your childhood.

It is not our place to question Our Lord. This I believe and I'm sure you do too. Naturally, when something happens
we don't like or understand, we want to take matters into our own hands instead of letting God handle it as He sees fit. I believe that this result was meant to be a message to you. I don't expect you to listen to me, or to the other fans here. You will do as you wish. I know this. All I ask is that you look deep inside yourself, look to God, and think what Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ could have meant by giving you the silver instead of gold. It is certainly not MY place to assume God's Will, or God's Plan, but I feel nonetheless that it was meant to make you see what is truly important in your life. You have a choice, a path, that God has set before you. You could either take heart in this result, and use it to benefit your soul, or you could use it to benefit your medal collection and ego. This was not meant to sound as harsh as it probably does to you. I am saying this to you with deepest love, respect, and admiration. I believe that God has done this to help make you a better person. Come though this storm of controversy with your head held high.

I know that you will probably never read this, or if you do you probably won't care or like what I have to say in either of the messages I sent. But if you do, I hope that you take the advice above to heart. Again, I ask you to please think about this, before you end up doing something you will regret.
