Aliona Savchenko/Robin Szolkowy GER - throw triple flip (bam!), side-by-side triple toe-triple toe seque (Szolkowy doubles both, that could be very costly), triple twist, side-by-side double axel (Savchenko singles), bails out of final lift (uh-oh), throw triple salchow (threes out) - a lot of mistakes there, that's probably gonna be a silver for the Germans - TES 48.58, PCS 63.87, FS TOTAL 112.45, FINAL TOTAL 171.68
Narumi Takahashi/Mervin Tran JPN - triple twist (nice), side-by-side triple salchow (Takahashi two-foots hers), side-by-side triple toe-double toe (Takahashi singles second), throw triple salchow (hangs on), throw triple toe (foot down) - Takahashi is always on the brink of a tumble, luckily, she hangs onto her landings today - TES 55.92, PCS 58.28, FS TOTAL 114.20, FINAL TOTAL 172.09

Caydee Denney/John Coughlin USA - Turandot - side-by-side triple toe (off unison but clean), triple twist (a bit overrotated), side-by-side double axel-double axel sequence (Denney singles second?), throw triple loop (fall, didn't get any lift on it), throw triple flip, finishes just a bit behind the music - probably the most sluggish they've been this season (this is their fifth competition now, including the domestic events in the summer) - TES 55.61, PCS 53.66, FALL -1.00, FS TOTAL 108.27, FINAL TOTAL 163.75
Yuko Kavaguti/Alexander Smirnov RUS - Clair de Lune - side-by-side triple toe (nice!), triple twist, throw triple salchow, side-by-side double axel-double axel sequence (Kavaguti steps out of first, don't know how she got that second one off from a standstill), throw triple loop (hangs on!) - TES 61.13, PCS 61.36, FS TOTAL 122.49, FINAL TOTAL 177.51

icenetwork.com:
Takahashi's short program score is the fifth-highest ever recorded under the IJS.
@tony_wheeler:
Mroz QUAD LUTZ and it looked clean even with a wild free leg
Mroz isn't happy with his skate. He wanted a 3/3 rather than the 3/2. The Lutz was maybe 1/8 cheated, but it should be full credit.

QUAD COUNT: 3 attempted, 2 clean (Menshov - toe, Mroz - lutz)
Daisuke Takahashi JPN - triple flip-triple toe, triple axel (really solid), good flying sit, steps into triple lutz - no quad, though the one he fell out of in the warmup looked nice, really love this program for him - TES 46.14, PCS 44.29, SP TOTAL 90.43
Takahiko Kozuka JPN - walley into triple flip (low on the landing), triple axel (nice), nice fly on the death drop, triple lutz-triple toe (nice)- TES 40.88, PCS 38.89, SP TOTAL 79.77
Samuel Contesti ITA - triple lutz-triple toe (messy landing on the toe), triple axel (fall out), steps in triple flip (bailed out in midair, downgrade), finishes well after the music ends - might be time for Contesti to explore other genres of hamming-it-up, perhaps - TES 30.22, PCS 34.61, OVERTIME -1.00, SP TOTAL 63.83
Tomas Verner CZE - Carmina Burana - quad toe (two-foot, hand down), triple axel, that was some unsteadily flying upright spin there, triple flip-double toe (edge on the flip), goes flying on his step sequence (that was not a light fall by any m eans) - TES 29.10, PCS 34.86, FALL -1.00, SP TOTAL 62.96
Brandon Mroz USA - Mack the Knife - steps into quad lutz (nice!), triple axel (nice), triple lutz-double toe - the quad lutz in the short program, super! - TES 40.76, PCS 34.07, SP TOTAL 74.83

Ross Miner USA - triple axel (nice), triple lutz-triple toe, steps into triple flip (hangs on) - well-done, a couple of muscled landings, but clean nonetheless - TES 38.87, PCS 32.25, SP TOTAL 71.12
Konstantin Menshov RUS - triple axel, quad toe-double toe (a bit forward on the quad toe to pull off the triple), steps into triple lutz - big jumper, not the typical Russian choreography, it's got some quirks to it, step sequence works great with the music - TES 42.24, PCS 32.43, SP TOTAL 74.67
Armin Mahbanoozadeh USA - triple flip-triple toe (nice), triple axel (falls out), great camel-change-camel, steps into triple lutz - I haven't been too sure about the choreographic choices to Kashmir yet, doesn't seem to quite fit - TES 33.60, PCS 29.92, SP TOTAL 63.52

Mao Asada JPN - Liebestraum - double axel, triple flip-double loop, steps into triple lutz, double axel-triple toe, triple flip-double loop-double loop, triple salchow, triple loop (two-foot, underrotated?), love the spiral to end that program, such a different start to her season than she's had in recent years! - TES 61.20, PCS 64.57, FS SCORE 125.77, TOTAL SCORE 184.19
Elene Gedevanishvili GEO - Phantom - triple lutz-double toe (hand down on lutz), triple flip (looked clean), double axel-triple toe (nice), triple salchow, double lutz, triple toe, double axel, messy limbs-everywhere fall on her step sequence, but a different skater than she was at Skate America for sure - TES 47.74, PCS 56.33, FALL -1.00, FS SCORE 103.07, TOTAL SCORE 160.44

Agnes Zawadzki USA - Rhapsody in Blue - double axel-double toe, triple flip, triple lutz (fall out, hand down), double lutz-double toe, double salchow, triple toe (fall), triple salchow (fall) - it could just be early in the season, but her jumps look much more labored than they did last year (growing pains?), that was just an overall poor skate unfortunately - TES 36.53, PCS 49.82, FALLS -2.00, FS SCORE 84.35, TOTAL SCORE 138.19
